# 2.14. Report grids & budgeting from actuals

> Build report tabs from multiple elements, create a budget straight from actuals, and set a default budget.

## Report grids (dashboards)

We've turned report tabs into grids, so you can combine several elements on one tab. This allows you to create dashboards that combine reports and graphs.

* Add tables, charts, big numbers, titles and subtitles to a tab and arrange them freely
* Each element keeps its own filters, columns and date range, so the same template can appear in several elements with different settings
* A tab with a single table still renders full width, just like before

## Budget from actuals

We've added a budgeting modal that builds a budget from your actuals in seconds.

* Budget the whole report, a single row or a selected cell range: your selection sets the source period and level of detail
* Choose the source and target periods, growth % and growth type (Growth rate %, Percent of Actual, Nominal or Seasonal)
* Preview the result before saving across the Source, Target, Rows, Growth and Preview tabs

## Default budget & other improvements

* Set one budget as your default and lock a budget from editing, with a lock icon shown in the budget dropdown
* The Columns side panel is replaced by a clearer modal across all tables, column presets gain an All tab, and columns can be broken down by dimension with Breakdown by
* Row number column: click and Shift-click to select rows, and drag rows onto a dimension item to label them
* Help assistant: ask questions about Caleido's docs in the app from the Help icon in the navigation or the Actions menu
* New Bank balance and Bank transactions tabs with export functionality

## Bug fixes

* YoY Δ columns now use the same prior-year baseline as SPLY Δ
* Excel/CSV exports include row headers again, and selecting a column preset refreshes the table data
* Deleting a budget item also removes its budget transactions, preventing the app from freezing
* Transaction line lists are consistent between regular and advanced filters, Select all is back in the list view, and inactive dimension items show in the filter dropdown
* Multiple other fixes and visual corrections
