# 2.17. Inline budgeting & global search

> Budget straight in the report grid, Excel style, find anything with one search, and save versions of your workspaces, plus more accurate report calculations.

## Inline budgeting in reports

We've brought budgeting straight into the report grid. You can now type a value into any budget or forecast cell, Excel style, and it goes directly into your budget.

* Enter opens a cell for editing, and Arrow down opens a helper with every budget item field (account, recurrence, memo, counterparty, dimensions) ready to fill by typing
* Move between fields with the arrow keys or Tab/Shift+Tab, and press Enter twice to save, creating a recurring item in the forecast in one go
* Drag the bottom-right corner of a cell to copy its value across periods, and clear values with Delete
* Single-period edits are kept when you change the whole series from the right-hand panel, where you choose whether the change applies to one period or all
* The list view now opens with Ctrl + Enter (Cmd + Enter on Mac), as Enter is reserved for cell editing. Navigation preferences live behind the gear icon in the helper

## Global search

We've added a single search box that finds any object without navigating module by module.

* Search transactions, invoices, budget items, dimension items, counterparties, rules and page views from one place
* Drill into a counterparty to see every object that references it, grouped
* Accent-insensitive matching: `Karava` also finds "Kärävä Oy"

## Workspace versions & other improvements

* Workspaces: duplicate any workspace, or save named versions with **Save as version** and switch between them from the top bar
* Add full pages (**General ledger**, **Contracts**, **Library**, **Receivables & payables**, **Inputs**) as workspace tabs, and pick a separate budget for each report element
* All settings now live in one **Settings** modal, and how-to videos open from every main view
* Charts: toggle series on and off without deleting them, smooth line and area charts, pick series colors, and let charts refresh automatically when data changes
* Cash flow: the transaction modal now lists linked transactions, including new Procountor invoice-to-payment links, and accrued budget rows are labelled original entry, counter entry and accrual

## Bug fixes

* Rolling average now returns correct values for balance sheet rows, day and half-year cadence, yearly reports and the report's first periods, and is saved on formula elements
* Reports refresh immediately after transactions, budget items or filters are deleted
* Balance sheet and formula fixes: opening balances under dimension filters, formulas combining balance sheet and P\&L elements, period offsets and cash flow signs
* Period presets: Month to date, Week to date and Year to date, plus half-year and weekly columns, now resolve to the correct period
* Multiple other fixes and visual corrections
